November — The “event” month
November has arrived and with it a number of big events. Day light savings, your local school or church bazaar, the start of Christmas shopping, my 40th birthday (ugh!!) and for those of us in the Ontario Geothermal industry it is also time for our annual Ontario Geothermal Association (OGA) Conference! This annual conference is a chance for industry stakeholders to get together and talk about the year that was but more importantly to look ahead to a brighter future. It is a chance for all of us – contractors, designers and suppliers alike – to set aside our competitive differences and start working together in a combined effort to promote geothermal heating & cooling as an important and effective HVAC solution as Ontario moves towards a more sustainable future. But is the conference relevant to just those of us already in the industry? Absolutely not!! Architects, mechanical hvac engineers, students, anyone interested in sustainable & renewable energy should come out to the conference to explore the opportunities that the Ontario geothermal industry has. From updates on New Technologies and Codes & Standards to a discussion about how Sustainable Energy Associations can help the Geothermal industry, there is something for everyone. So come on out to Huntsville on November 13 & 14 and join us! You can learn more by heading over to the OGA Website or by reading about the conference agenda here. Hope to see you there!
